Starmer: ‘Sooner or later’ Russia must yield to peace

Britain’s prime minister put forth that which is of the global community should continue to press for a cease fire between Russia and Ukraine at the start of a virtual get together which was to put an end to the conflict between the two nations.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at a virtual meeting which saw in attendance mostly European leaders reported that Russia will at some point have to enter into peace talks which include the resolution of the three year conflict.

He spoke to what is referred to as a “coal of willing” which includes mainly European leaders also from Australia, New Zealand and Canada but not the U.S.

In time he will have to sit at the table, that is what Starmer put forth in regards to Russian President Vladimir Putin which includes the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

Putin reports that in theory he is for a cease fire, but at the same time Russia has issues which must be resolved first before we accept any deal.

In his night time address Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Putin is playing for time and is putting forth so many preconditions that in the end nothing will get done.

At the same time the U.S. has added to it’s sanctions which now include Russian oil and gas as well as financial sectors.
