Bindi Irwin, the well-known Australian conservationist and television personality, has opened up about her journey toward healing after living with endometriosis for many years. In a recent update, the 27-year-old shared that she's slowly regaining her strength and starting to feel like herself again.
She spoke honestly about how, for a long time, she felt embarrassed and dismissed when her pain was brushed off as just a normal part of being a woman. Bindi emphasized the need to break the silence and stigma around women’s health, urging more open conversations and global awareness.
Her story has sparked worldwide attention, shining a light on a condition that affects around one in ten women and can lead to serious pain and fertility issues. In her words, no girl or woman should feel like they have to suffer in silence or let pain control their life.
Bindi first shared her experience with endometriosis in 2023, a post that resonated with millions. In her latest update, she reflected on her 13-year struggle for answers, which included two surgeries where doctors found dozens of lesions, a cyst, and even had to remove her appendix.
Now, she’s finally able to go about her day without the constant pain that once made her feel sick or faint. She opened up about how hurtful it was to feel weak or “less than” simply because her pain wasn’t taken seriously.
Beyond her health journey, Bindi continues her conservation work at Australia Zoo alongside her mother Terri and brother Robert. She’s also a wife to Chandler Powell and a proud mom to their daughter, Grace Warrior, born in 2021.
Bindi is the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, the beloved “Crocodile Hunter,” who passed away in 2006 after a stingray accident while filming in the Great Barrier Reef.
